PASCO -- The Green River Gators played stellar basketball on Thursday, ending the Tritons' season 81-61. After the first media timeout they jumped ahead 28-19 and never looked back. Their inside presence was challenging, and their sharp shooting from beyond the arc were too much for Edmonds. Every time the Tritons started to put together a run and hit their stride, the Gators answered and stalled the momentum. Playing from behind, the offense was pressed to score in bunches, but the Gators length withstood.
Chris Lee capped off a remarkable career, once again leading Edmonds with 22 points. Josiah Pierre recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Shiloh Zevenbergen added 8 points, and Naser Motley chipped in 7.
The team had a terrific season, finishing 22-9 overall and earning the North Region title.
