LYNNWOOD -- Edmonds volleyball opened North Region action with a 3-1 home victory over Everett in Seaview Gym on Wednesday night.
Sophomore Sydney James was the player of the match with 17 kills. She hit .333, added 8 digs, and was reponsible for 20 Triton points. The Tritons won the first set 25-22, droppped a very competitve second set 27-25, then took the final two 25-15 and 25-17 to secure the triumph. Edmonds' defense was stellar, limiting Everett to a .095 team hitting percentage. Maria Alvarez had 15 digs, Kiara Milar had 11 digs, and Saydee Heslop tallied 10 kills and 14 digs. Kamaleimahie Auwae added six service aces.
