Fourth quarter push propels Tritons past Bulldogs

LYNNWOOD – For three quarters it was anyone's game, but a strong fourth quarter push lifted Edmonds women's basketball past the Bellevue on Sunday afternoon. The Tritons outscored the Bulldogs 20-8 in the final stanza and won 70-56 to earn their fourth consecutive triumph.

Keira Slippern had a game-high 20 points, Dreanna Jackson registered 15 points, and Natalie Brown came down with 13 rebounds. Jada Walters poured in 11 of her 13 points in the fourth quarter. Maggie Salas saw action in her second straight game after returning from injury, and Alex Munoz logged her first minutes in nearly a month. She was previously injured as well.

With the victory, Edmonds (17-7, 11-2) secures the 2-seed from the North Region. Regardless of outcomes in the regular season finales on Wednesday, Edmonds owns the tiebreaker over Shoreline. The sophomores will be honored prior to the 5 p.m. tipoff on Wednesday, Februrary 28 in Seaview Gym against Olympic College.
