The Edmonds College women's basketball team collected a 2-point road win on Saturday over Skagit Valley College. With the 60-58 triumph the 10th-ranked Tritons improve to 15-7 overall, 9-2 in North Region play. The Cardinals fell to 9-16, 3-8.
Jada Walters and Keira Slippern did most of the work offensively, scoring 26 and 20 points, respectively. Natalie Brown grabbed 14 rebounds and blocked 3 shots with Walters pulling in 10 boards and 6 steals. Slippern added 7 steals to the statline.
The Tritons have three more regular-season games before they make their first NWAC Tournament appearance since the 2009-10 season. The next contest on the books is this Wednesday, February 21, with a 5 pm tip-off versus Whatcom CC.
