LYNNWOOD -- Edmonds men's hoops led from tip to finish and collected another region win Wednesday night, 83-78 over Whatcom. Josiah Pierre tallied 21 points (9-of-14 FG), scoring the bulk of his points in the first half (16). Nick Linhardt added 15 points and 7 rebounds, and Naser Motley did a little bit of everything -- he totalled 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. Jamari Jackson provided 15 quality minutes off the bench and connected on an important three that pushed the Tritons ahead 73-64.
Whatcom had streaks of hot shooting which kept them in the game, but Edmonds clamped down when they had to. Kyrylo Kapinos' flush with just over 8 minutes left pushed the lead to 10 and the Tritons stayed in control the rest of the way.
Edmonds remains in second place with the win and improved to 4-1 in region play. Next up is a road contest at Bellevue (3-2, 8-12) on Saturday.
