PORT ANGELES -- The second North Region tilt of the season was the reverse of Wednesday night's defensive clash with Everett. After Peninsula jumped ahead early, Edmonds grabbed their first lead of the game at 17-16. Skyler Hammer's bucket that gave the Tritons a five-point spread was the start of an offensive explosion that saw the team go on a 35-9 run that put the game almost out of reach at halftime.
The Tritons held off the home Pirates in the second half and won comfortably, 110-91. The team shot 49% from the field, led by Naser Motley's 20 points. Five others posted double figures: Orion (OJ) Dybdahl, Josiah Pierre, Skyler Hammer, Kyrylo Kapinos, and Nick Linhardt. Brady Elsner dished out 7 assists. EC won the battle of the boards (45-29) and benches (48-19).
Next up: Shoreline CC at home on Wednesday, January 15 at 7 pm.
