Volleyball off to 5-3 start
Today marks one week of the 2024 Edmonds College volleyball season, and the Tritons sit with a 5-3 record after trips to Everett CC and Oregon.
- Friday, August 23: W 3-2 over Yakima Valley
- Player of the Match: Saydee Heslop, who had 24 kills (.367 hitting percentage), 10 digs, 1 ace, and 2 blocks.
- Friday, August 23: W 3-0 over Wenatchee Valley
- Player of the Match: Gabbie Adams, who hit .600 with 6 kills on 10 attempts; she also added 2.5 blocks.
- Saturday, August 24: W 3-1 over Mt. Hood
- Player of the Match: Saydee Heslop, who led the team with 22 kills (.404 hitting percentage), 18 digs, and served 3 aces.
- Saturday, August 24: L 3-0 to Columbia Basin
- Player of the Match: Sydney James, who tallied 6 kills and hit .477.
- Tuesday, August 27: W 3-1 over Lane
- Player of the Match: Kaitlyn Jensen, who had 8 kills, hit .375, and served 5 aces.
- Tuesday, August 27: W 3-1 over Chemeketa
- Player of the Match: Makayla Olsen, who tallied 9 kills with a .375 hitting percentage, and added 3 blocks.
- Wednesday, August 28: L 3-0 to Mt. Hood
- Player of the Match: Kiara Milar was a steadying presence who showed great leadership in the match, collecting 8 digs.
- Wednesday, August 28: L 3-0 to Clackamas
The non-league run of matches continues today, August 30, as the Highline College Invitational starts. Edmonds will face Tacoma at 2 pm, followed by Rogue at 5 pm. On Saturday they'll square off against Southwestern Oregon (12 pm) and the host Highline (2 pm).
