Mount Vernon - Kyle Gray notched his 200th win as the Edmonds Men's Basketball Head Coach Saturday night as the Tritons defeated Skagit Valley College 67-61. Gray and his staff have been part of the EC athletic program since the 2012-13 season and have recorded a 200-116 overall mark, 93-58 in North Region action. During that time the men's hoops team has been one of the NWAC's most consistent programs, winning two Region titles, appearing in eight NWAC tournaments and reaching the championship game in both 2012 and 2015.
With the win the #10-ranked Tritons remain atop the NWAC North Region standings with an 18-8 overall mark, 8-3 in Region play. SVC fell to 21-5, 6-5.
Chris Lee led the way with 23 points with Trevon Hamilton adding 17 points to the win.
Edmonds has three more regular-season tilts before Tournament play starts in March. The team's next contest is at home versus Whatcom CC on Wednesday, Feb. 21. Tip-off is at 7 p.m.
