Snyder's walk off sends Edmonds to NWAC Championship Tournament
LYNNWOOD -- Michael Snyder's late game heroics punched Edmonds Baseball's ticket to the NWAC Championship Tournament. Tied at 6-6 in the bottom of the ninth inning, Snyder delivered a walk off double that shot past Southwestern Oregon's first baseman, and Cole Murawski raced around from second base to score the winning run.
In the second inning Chris Rogers got the Tritons on the board first with an RBI triple. A few batters later Logan Blank scored two with a single, and Levi Joyce also added a 2 RBI single to open a 5-run lead. The Lakers would match that effort with five runs of their own in the top half of the third, chasing starter Sheldon Egger. Blank struck again in the bottom of the third with a triple of his own to put Edmonds ahead 6-5. Peter Herrick hurled 4 1/3 innings and allowed just one run -- a solo homer in the seventh -- to give the Triton offense a chance for the comeback. Eli Knowlton closed out the final six outs and collected the win. Cole Murawski was 3-for-4 with two runs scored and Cole Watterson drew three walks and swiped three bases.

On Friday, Edmonds topped Southwestern Oregon 5-2 to win the first game in the best-of-three series. The Tritons were in control from the start as Will Franklin (5 IP, 1 ER) and Lathan Haywood (4 IP, 1 ER) were able to keep the Laker offense in check. Cole Murawski's second RBI of the game in the fifth frame gave the Tritons the lead for good. Cole Watterson's 2 RBI triple in the sixth gave them breathing room, and Blank's RBI knock in the sixth provided a cushion. Levi Joyce and Chris Rogers chipped in two hits apeice.
The first game of the Super Regional saw the Lakers come from behind, scoring four runs in the bottom of the ninth to walk off the Wenatchee Valley Knights. That elimination game win sent them to the series with Edmonds.
